Hiring and recruiting is a defacto process that every organization would exercise. With the advent of building a pipelines of talents especially, this particular step would seemingly be a crucial step in ensuring continuous supply of talents and building a future for the business.

Before we go any further into this post, if you ever conduct an interview or planning to conduct one, I urge you to take a look at this video clip.

I am certain after seeing this clip, it all makes perfect sense.

We have all been there - rejected in multiple interviews one time or another. Possibly our skills were lacking, our inexperience insufficient and for some, our resume just do not look that great.

Fast forward years later when we connect the dots. We've achieved many things that we may not have thought of before. We've done well to where we are now.

So why didn't the then interviewer see the unpolished gem in us? Was he or she too focus on seeing the "perfect" resume, or too engrossed in findings the perfect candidate who would fit all the criteria of that particular role.

If only we were given the chance.

If only the interviewer would be more concern in finding the candidate with the right attitude and drive, and a culture fit to the organization.

This short video clip is a marked reminder to all of us to see beyond a nitty gritties of criteria.

I am a firm believer that a person who has the right attitude would overcome all learning obstacles, if there is a right driver and a good fit to a culture. The rest of the results comes as an autopilot.

" which do you think comes first - culture fit, skills fit or attitude?"

So we would like to hear your thoughts on this post. Which do you think comes first - Culture fit, skills fit or attitude?
